Mind and Destiny

"It is our duty, all of us, everyone who cares to reverse the national decline of our knowledge and understanding of history, and to renew a true appreciation of this great country, why it became great and what will keep it so." -- Sen. Robert Byrd

Mind-boggling

Mayor of Salt Lake City, Ross “Rocky” Anderson a Democrat asks: “What part of ‘Thou shalt not kill’ do you not understand? What part of the ‘Golden rule’ do you not understand? What part of ‘be honest,’ ‘be responsible,’ and ‘be accountable’ don’t you understand? What part of ‘Blessed are the peacekeepers do you not understand?”

Mayor Anderson is angry with the Bush regime, Congress and the mainstream media for having failed our nation miserably. He strongly believes that they have repeatedly demonstrated greed, cruelty and incompetence, while leading this once great nation to a moral, military, and national security abyss.

Anderson says that they have violated the trust of the American people, undermined our Constitution and betrayed the rule of law. They have allowed human rights abuses never before accepted in our nation’s history as a matter of official policy. They have sent our troops to kill and be killed on the basis of lies, without competent leadership, and without even a coherent plan for success.

Anderson points out: “They have acted in direct violation of values that Americans who love our country, hold dear. They have deceived us in the most cynical, outrageous ways. They have allowed the undermining of, our constitutional system of checks and balances and have helped lead our nation to the brink of fascism.”

He’s concerned that our world is far more dangerous, our nation is far more despised, and the threat of terrorism is far greater, because of the jingoistic false patriotism exhibited by Bush supporters.

Anderson insists that they have committed the most horrendous acts, causing needless tragedy in the lives of millions of people, yet they continue to wear their so-called religion on their sleeves, asserting that God is on their side. What they have done flies in the face of any religious or humanitarian tradition. Their hypocrisy is mind-boggling and disgraceful.
